The caravan prototype is the caravan of the gypsies, in Europe, the travel caravan is called: caravan, said to mean caravan. At the end of World War I, Americans added tents, beds, kitchen equipment, etc. to the family caravan. in 1920, some people added simple furniture of wooden structure to the T-shaped chassis. By 1930, RVs used the structural design of airplanes and installed comfortable beds, convenient kitchens, and power and water systems on them. After World War II, the developed road system in the United States led to the rapid development of the RV industry. By 1950, RVs ranging from small DIY models to luxurious 30-foot-long trailers were coming of age.
After World War I, many Americans used their cars to start their camping years. Bringing tents, beds, and cooking utensils, they set out on a journey in their cars. In the 1920s, many RV pioneers began making homes on wheels. They made simple houses out of wood in their own backyards and then fastened them to the T-shaped chassis of their cars. The history of RV camping clubs goes back to the "can-can travelers" of the 1920s and 1930s. They were so called because these RV pioneers began traveling across the continental United States before many of the nation's highways were paved, braving the bumpy, muddy roads in their rickety old cars. They often camped on the side of the road, eating canned food heated by gasoline stoves and drinking cold water. By the 1930s, RVs began to utilize airplane-style construction and were equipped with beds, dining tables and chairs, and had access to electricity and water. As the number of RVs continued to grow, so did the need for fully equipped RV campsites. After World War II, the RV industry boomed as the automobile became more popular and more Americans began to seek a life on the move. By 1950, trailer-type RVs had evolved from small homemade tank homes to 30-foot-long luxury cottages.
